EMILIA SOSA is a first generation American, born and raised in the swampland that is New Orleans, recently finding refuge in the beautiful city of Seattle. THE DHOL FOUNDATION are lead by Johnny Kalsi, the master drummer and head of The Dhol Foundation school. Johnny's name has been linked with some of the all time greats including the likes of Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, Transglobal Underground. He also became a permanent fixture with the Afro Celt Sound System as well as fronting his own band.High points: The Brits, Bollywood Oscars, Gangs Of New York, The Hulk.

Doreen is a Kwazulu roots diva of immaculate pedigree.She was lead singer with Trans Global Underground, for many years across many continents; one third of the legendary Shikisha trio; Chachouka; star of Ipi Tombi, West End show of the late '70's.Also,she's a solo roots star with a phenomenal voice and squeeze box ,singing Zulu songs and rhythms. An accomplished, singer, dancer and instrumentalist, Doreen was born in Natal then grew up in Durban, South Africa. She plays African instruments such as mbira and umqangala. ...when Doreen sings the whole world seems to stop and listen to a voice that could well have kicked off the Big Bang' Straight No Chaser.

tj Rehmi, accomplished musician, composer and producer from Birmingham, England began his career playing with local Jazz and Reggae bands. As the Bhangra scene began to build momentum in the mid 1980’s, tj was in the mix, touring with such influential UK Bhangra bands as A.S. Kang, Pardesi, Achanak, Azaad and Chirag Pechan in addition to studio production and session work with many top acts.

As well as his own music Rehmi has been a keen remixer and some of his remix work includes remixing Natacha Atlas, Alibi, Tony de Bart and DJ Cheb I Sabbah.
After leaving Nation Records he built his own studio, signed a publishing deal with Real World Works and released his US debut 'Invisible Rain'. Tis was followed by the uber Khoob Warm Chill album on Dharma Moon label in the U.S.
Rehmi is one of the most talented and innovative fusionists around today.

Nay is renowned in Cambodia as one of the great master artists to survive the genocide of Pol Pot, during which up to 90% fo artists perished in a purge intended to destroy a 2000 year old culture. But it turned out the culture - and Nay - are irrepressible

CARMINA first made their name touring Ireland and have since played major venues and festivals throughout the world. Appearances have included Glastonbury, Trowbridge, Belfast Folk, Cork Jazz, Marlborough Jazz, Edinburgh, Stainsby Folk, Galway Arts, Henley Arts, Port Fairy (Australia), Bruges International, Labadoux (Belgium), Zwolle (Holland). Their appearance at Stainsby Festival 2005 was chosen as one of the top five roots gigs of the year in the East Midlands by the Nottingham Evening Post.
